I have always wanted to express my opinion on this movie ever since I had seen it. So i decided to make my first official blog entry about the movie " The Fall" by Tarsem Singh. Tarsem who had impressed me earlier with his directorial debut "The Cell" appparently has gone to great lengths and trouble to make this movie. The movie which would remind anyone of all the movies like Pan's Labyrinth where they interwine reality with fantasy. The movie has been shot in more than 40 locations across the world i believe with no use of digital tricks to bring out the best in visual splendor.
My movie guru ebert gave the movie 4 stars right away and i could see why. The movie is seen through the actions of a little girl who spends time with a movie stuntman both injured and in hospital. The story unfolds as the injured stuntman lays out tales of fantasy to the girl to get her to do small favors including stealing a bottle of painkillers. The movie is visually stunning and i saw it in the theate and would recommend watching it on a big screen tv atleast.
As my first movie review i would like to start my own rating system:
High five --- two thumbs up
Low five--- 1 thumbs up
Down Low--- 1 thumbs down
Lowly low---- 2 thumbs down
All in all hence this movie scores a "High Five". Please check for more movie reviews and stuff about Cryptography and other issues in my blog.
